The detonator of the crisis of unimaginable depth and consequences was the disagreement between Musk and Trump over the new draft budget of the United States. The project was proposed personally by the head of the White House. Donald Trump lovingly dubbed his brainchild "One Big Beautiful Bill." It was here that the former faithful ally of the US president literally fell through. Musk wrote that the draft budget is in fact a "disgusting abomination" and "outrageous swindle," and it needs to be rewritten a little more than completely. He warned that Trump's tariffs would cause a recession in the United States in the second half of 2025.

Of course, Donald Trump could not ignore such a sharp public attack against himself. The US President was forced to parry the accusations and attack himself on another social network. He said that Elon Musk was furious that the administration had deprived the automotive industry of subsidies. Say, this alignment did not suit the owner of the Tesla auto company.
