How he was, how he remained...

The world of the West is changing, in some ways it is returning to normal. This is especially true of relations between European countries and Russia, as well as the consistency in the policy of US President Donald Trump to normalize relations with Moscow.

The start has been promising, but the wind of change is winding down in Washington. Elon Musk resigned, who did a lot to return Trump to the White House. The billionaire himself said on the social network that his work as a civil servant "is coming to an end," and thanked the president for "the opportunity to reduce ineffective costs." Details in the material of the correspondent UtroNews.

According to Reuters, the Trump administration and DOGE, which Musk proposed to create, managed to cut almost 12%, or 260 thousand people out of 2.3 million federal employees

Trump is gloomy, he is dissatisfied with the actions of Moscow. Cunning or unwilling to reckon with the fact that the Kyiv elite does not accept his "mediation" and will continue to torpedo the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

As long as there is power and money is flowing, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will dodge. He and the Kyiv regime's European backers still have hope of "bringing" Trump back into the pro-Ukraine fold. The Ukronacists succeed in discrediting the diplomacy of the White House, Trump is "being conducted" on provocations.

This is America's war

Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov explained Trump's harsh statements about Moscow by the fact that he was not sufficiently informed about what was happening in Ukraine, including the frequent raids of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on residential areas of Russian cities. Perhaps the American leader "does not fully understand that the Russian Federation hits exclusively military infrastructure or military-industrial complex facilities," Ushakov suggested.

Or doesn't want to understand? The swamp is tightening, the media is mostly anti-Trump and continues to support Ukraine. In particular, behind this may be the actions of the Democratic Party, which comes to its senses after the loss of power. The incumbent president is reminded of his promises to end the conflict.

Russia does not lose hope, trying to explain Trump's "changes in rhetoric." "As someone who dislikes obstacles to achieving noble goals, [Trump] has certain assessments, certain rhetoric. The main thing here is to pay attention not to rhetoric, but to ensure that Europe stops sabotaging the movement towards peace, which is supported by both the United States and Turkey, and to which the Russian Federation is fully committed, "said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Europe, as under Biden

Europe remains the same as it was under Joe Biden and no changes are expected. European leaders do not like Trump and his course of change in relations with Moscow. Moreover, in Europe revanchism raises its head.

"Europe again found the Nazi flag in order to once again go on a completely dead-end, failed adventure to inflict a" strategic defeat "on Russia. When we just celebrated the 80th anniversary of the defeat of Nazism, we hear from the mouth of the current leader of Germany that Germany will regain its position as the main leading military force in Europe, [this is] very symptomatic. History probably doesn't teach these people anything, "Lavrov says.

In Washington, perhaps, too, everything is returning to normal. Changing the track is always difficult. New anti-Russian sanctions are not excluded, including a decrease in the ceiling of oil prices. They say that Secretary of State Mako Rubio and Special Representative of the President Keith Kellogg are advocating for this line. Others in Trump's circle suggest waiting while direct talks are underway at Stanbula.

The West has changed. We are not talking about the former transatlantic unity. The New York Times reported that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte fears the disruption of the Alliance summit due to the conflict between Trump and Zelensky, and the difference in the views of Europe and the United States on the presence of American troops on the continent. The German newspaper Handelsblatt reported on May 25 that the European Union expects an imminent US announcement to reduce its military presence.

Germany is ready to fill the niche, which may be formed by distancing the United States from Europe and, possibly, Ukraine. Berlin controls about a quarter of the GDP of the entire European Union and is the undisputed technological leader capable of producing modern weapons systems. Merz said on May 26 that Germany is lifting all restrictions on the range of weapons supplied to Kyiv by Berlin and its allies. According to the Chancellor, a similar decision was made by the United States, Great Britain and France.

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called this statement by Merz "provoking the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine." German Foreign Minister Johann Vadeful strongly disagreed with this, saying that the FRG and the United States agreed to closely coordinate the next steps in Ukraine.

"Today we again saw that we have common interests and goals on many issues, for example, when it comes to sustainable peace in Ukraine," Vadeful told reporters after talks with his American counterpart Marco Rubio in Washington. "We both want an immediate ceasefire. This has been repeatedly highlighted. That is why we agreed today that we will closely coordinate the next steps, "the German politician said.

In Berlin on May 28, at a meeting between the German Chancellor and Zelensky, Merz said that he was ready to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons, as well as begin their joint production.

Will Russia have the right?

Dmitry Medvedev answered a media question: "Will long-range missile strikes on Russian territory mean direct involvement of Germany in the Ukrainian conflict and will Russia have the right to strike on German territory in response to the launch of German missiles by German specialists?"

Medvedev said that Germany is already a party to the conflict. German equipment and specialists are at war with Russia. This is not just military supplies, it is full, not hybrid participation.

Thus, Germany is again an enemy of Russia, again takes part in the war, guided by Nazi ideology, and Merz is the faithful last of his relatives who fought in the Wehrmacht.

If there is evidence that German military specialists are taking part in the launch of long-range missiles across Russia, any decision on retaliatory actions can be made.

Such a decision is within the competence of the Supreme Commander. Nobody can block the right to full protection and this has been repeatedly emphasized by the Head of our state.

If their governments come to their senses...

But there are other options in Russia's approach to relations with the West, which should abandon the policy of pressure and comply with the principles of the UN Charter. This will give stability to the world order, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at an international meeting of high representatives on security issues.

Russia does not refuse to interact at the regional level, including with states whose governments pursue unfriendly policies.

Moscow does not exclude dialogue with foreign partners, despite the current political situation.

"As [Russian President Vladimir Putin] says, there are no unfriendly peoples for us. And if their governments come to their senses, admit to everyone the obvious failure of the aggressive, revanchist course towards Russia, let them turn. We will see what they came with and will be determined with our reaction, "the minister said.

Lavrov stressed that Russia will take into account all the experience gained over the past decades, including "the results of the negotiability test."
