The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the incident with Finland that occurred in the spring.
A new briefing by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, on current foreign policy issues took place.
During the event, a correspondent from The Moscow Post also asked a question.
"Has the incident with the accusations from Finland regarding a possible violation of that country's airspace by two Russian military aircraft at the end of May been resolved, and do any mechanisms of interaction between Finland and the Russian Federation remain that could minimize such incidents?" - the journalist inquired.
In response, Maria Zakharova reminded that interaction is carried out through the exchange of notes.
As for the first part of the question — the competent Russian agencies are conducting the necessary verification activities, the diplomat added.
"And when they are completed, official information with explanations will also be sent to the Finnish side via diplomatic channels in the form of a note", - concluded Maria Zakharova.
Let us recall that last month the Russian ambassador was summoned to the Finnish Foreign Ministry due to the alleged violation of airspace. Everything supposedly took place in the area of the city of Porvoo.
