Looks like energy drinks are sentenced.
State Duma deputies from the Just Russia - For Truth faction said they were going to introduce a bill banning the sale of power engineers on the territory and near medical, sports and educational institutions. The corresponding bill will be submitted to the State Duma on Tuesday. The co-author of the project was the leader of the party, the head of the Duma faction of the SRZP Sergei Mironov.
Commenting on his statement, Mironov recalled that on March 1 of this year, a federal law came into force in Russia, which introduced a ban on the sale of energy to minors. According to the politician, some scientific research confirmed that energy drinks harm human health.
Indeed, energy drinks are not natural juices, and they do not bring much benefit to a person. The main effect of power engineers is stimulation. For the most part, this is due to the content of caffeine, which increases the activity of the central nervous system, stimulates the release of adrenaline, and due to the sugar content, which gives a quick burst of energy. As a result, a person feels a temporary increase in vigor, performance, improved mood, as well as an increase in heart rate and blood pressure.
In addition, almost all energy drinks contain taurine. This amino acid plays an important role in many body processes, including regulating cholesterol levels, supporting heart and vascular health, and the nervous system. Also, manufacturers add vitamins to most power engineers, which also "spur" a person.
As opponents of the sale of energy drinks do not dare to remind, although they have a stimulating effect, they can harm the body. So, the main components of "energets" in fact, do not give energy, but only activate the body's own resources. Accordingly, prolonged and uncontrolled abuse of such drinks can lead to exhaustion and deterioration of well-being.
In addition, by stimulating the nervous system, caffeine can provoke excessive excitability, insomnia, anxiety, irritability and even panic attacks. Of course, an adult is unlikely to pay attention to the risk of such consequences. But young people, "hooked" on energy, can shake their nervous system.
We must not forget that energy drinks with frequent use negatively affect the cardiovascular system. First of all, we are talking about an increase in blood pressure. This is usually accompanied by an increase in heart rate, and even, in rare cases, arrhythmia. Of course, this primarily concerns patients with hypertension and those who have heart problems.
Abuse of energy drinks negatively affects the digestive system. First of all, the acidity of power engineers is responsible for this. Like the popular Western "colas," they contain a whole pressure of acids that cause thirst. Together with carbon dioxide, the very "bubbles" that delight adolescents, these acids irritate the esophagus and stomach. And this, figuratively speaking, "opens the doors" to gastritis.
Energy drinks, as mentioned above, contain a lot of sugar. And this circumstance, coupled with high acidity, leads to the destruction of teeth. But that's not all. The high calorie content of the "power engineers" shakes the metabolic system, the metabolism of the body. As a result, the risk of type 2 diabetes, hepatomegaly of the liver and obesity is seriously increased.
As a rule, vitamins are added to energy drinks. This measure is forced: otherwise the "energy" was not put on sale by Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Health. The fact is that stimulating drinks cause increased urination, so the necessary substances are literally washed out of the body. But, in addition to vitamins, with this regime, a person loses potassium and calcium. And this has a bad effect on the heart and leads to brittle bones.
Energy drinks, unlike simple soda, have one very unpleasant property: they can be "overdosed." Such a phenomenon as an overdose occurs with uncontrolled use of energy drinks. First of all, the high caffeine content is responsible. And an overdose of this substance is manifested in the form of diarrhea, fever, vomiting and confusion.
There is another sign that makes energy drinks related to so-called illegal substances. This is an addiction to power engineers. Regular use of stimulating drinks leads to the fact that a person gradually gets used to such "feeding." Without power engineers, he feels lethargic, tired, his mood deteriorates and his performance decreases sharply. In order to return to their usual state, a lover of energy drinks is simply forced to increase the consumption of this kind of drinks more and more. That is, to achieve the previous effect, it will be necessary to increase the dose, which leads to the depletion of the nervous system.
However, all of the above can be applied to such "safe" drinks as tea, coffee and various "colas." Each of them contains caffeine, and in large quantities. Therefore, they can be harmful, especially with regular and uncontrolled use.
For example, each of us knows about the stimulating, invigorating effects of tea. A mug of tea in our country is accompanied by breakfast. Tea is met by guests and loved ones frozen on the street. Another traditional stimulant drink is coffee. As a rule, meetings and business negotiations cannot do without it. It is with a cup of coffee that Russians are accustomed to relieve their fatigue. As for the various "stakes" of foreign and domestic production, the Russian gets used to them in the first years of his life.
All these drinks contain caffeine. Every student probably faced an overdose of coffee during the session. And tea contains no less caffeine, although due to the content of tannins, it affects a person softer and slower. But as the same TV detectives can tell, sentenced criminals behind bars use very strong tea as a stimulant.
Probably no one will argue that there are very few vitamins in tea, coffee and soda, or they are not at all. But in the "stakes" there is a lot of sugar. And coffee, as well as tea, most Russians drink sweets. According to nutritionists, it was the national habit of "cola" that caused a real epidemic of childhood and adolescent obesity in the United States. Tea, coffee and carbonated sugary drinks, like energy drinks, stimulate the urinary system, and therefore contribute to the elimination of trace elements from the body. And this, as already mentioned, leads to problems with bones and heart.
Actually, there is no big, pronounced harm from power engineers. It's all about the amount of use. This is exactly what Sergey Mironov's initiative to restrict the sale of "energy" is justified. It is not worth waiting for prudence and moderation from adolescents.
